Movies
Below you'll find a variety of multimedia presentations. Some of the presentations are in a slideshow format combining photographic images and music. Other presentations will include screencast tutorials and other types of presentations in an MP4 format.
Paris Summer 2009
July 23, 2009: This multimedia presentation is 27 minutes long (and a 152 Mb download). The images are 1280 x 720 pixels. I've also added a 250 Mb version in MP4 format that will play on computers, iPod, or iPhone.
The focus is on people in Paris that you might encounter if walking down a street or in a park during June or July 2009. There's no monuments in this movie. A few events were covered in more detail (Fête de la Musique, Gay Pride Parade, Carnaval Tropical) as well as everyday life. The images are accompanied by music I was listening to while in Paris.
Paris Summer 2008 Revisited
May 5, 2009: This multimedia presentation uses B-side images taken last summer. In addition, I'm using a wide-angle different format (1280x720) instead of 1024x768. The movie is 7 minutes long. I'm calling it "Paris Revisited" because I revisited a lot of images that I did not use for last summer's movie. Some of those "rejected" images (or B-sides), with the grace of time, I find that I like a lot and wanted to use them in a new presentation.
Paris Winter 2009
February 1, 2009: The movie is just under 8 minutes in length. It's much harder to get people photos in winter (naturally), so this one is a combination of people and things (even the Tour Eiffel makes an appearance). The movie is a 36 Mb download. The movie tries to capture fleeting moments in Paris accompanied by some of the music that was present in the city while I was visiting.
Paris Summer 2008
August 1, 2008: This multimedia slideshow is a 54 Mb download and is just under 14 minutes in length. No "monuments" or "sites" in this movie. The movie tries to capture fleeting moments in Paris accompanied by some of the music that was present in the city while I was visiting.
