Beginning in the SPRING term of
2001, the course title listings for Student Teaching will change.
For
Students who entered the Credential Program BEFORE Fall, 2001:

If you
have already taken Field Experience 0708-616 or Field
Participation 0708-660, you will be registering for Student
Teaching II and III (Multiple Subjects: 0708-605 &
0708-606 or 0708-607 [BCLAD] / Single Subject: 0708-655 &
0708-656 or 657 [BCLAD])

At the
end of Fall, 2001, the Field Experience and Field Participation
courses will no longer be offered. In their place, students will
register for Student Teaching I (Multiple Subjects:
0708-616 / Single Subject: 0708-660).

If you
have not enrolled in Field Experience or Field
Participation yet, you will need to register for Student
Teaching I (Multiple Subjects: 0708-616 / Single Subject:
0708-660).
For
Students who entered the Credential Program in Fall, 2001 or later:

Full-time
students enroll for the second semester in Student Teaching I
(Multiple Subjects: 0708-616 / Single Subject: 0708-660).

In
order to register for Student Teaching I, students must have
satsified all Prerequisites for Student Teaching (click here
for more information).

Student
Teaching I ordinarily involves TWO mornings (four hrs. each) for
TWELVE weeks in a single school / classroom placement.

Once
Student Teaching I has been successfully completed, students
enroll in Student Teaching II and III, which normally consists
of full-time student teaching for a total of 18 weeks.

on previous full-time teaching experience, be sure to check
the USF Teacher Education Policies, available from the
